White Parlor is a one-of-a-kind kaleidoscope by Sue Rioux.
The body of the scope is a large rectangle made with a beautiful textured clear glass on the front/top which is lined with iridescent paper on its underside offering the sparkle and shine of dichroic glass. The sides and back are a soft white. The top is adorned with blue glass rods on each side and a small dichroic glass bead near the object cell. As always, Sue's signature patina is found all around including the joints holding the brass rods of the parlor stand.
The object cell is a round disk filled with colorful beads, glass, dichroic pieces and wire. This scope has an internal 2 mirror system offering a huge mandala image.
Standing on its own frame of sturdy brass wire, this scope measures 9" tall by 9" deep and 2-1/2" wide.
