This is a one-of-a-kind double mirror system kaleidoscope handcrafted by Sue Rioux. The unique design is inspired by Sue's walks on Kennebunk beach with her dog Ivy.
The body of the scope is a large rectangle made with a beautiful lightly textured stained glass with swirls of blues, greens and purples on all 4 sides. The front is adorned with blue glass rods on each side. Sue's signature patina is found all around including the joints holding the glass rods and the brass of the attached parlor stand.
The object cell is a turning glass barrel filled with a variety of sea shells, colorful beads, glass, dichroic pieces and wire. This scope has a double mirror systems - one with 2 mirrors offering an 8 sided mandala image and one with 3 mirrors offering an endless view of color as if your swimming under the sea!
A beauty both on the interior and exterior, this scope measures 8-3/4" tall by 8" deep and 6" wide.
