Kaleidoscope - Moonlight in Cobalt Blue Stained Glass by Sue Rioux Designs

Moonlight is a gorgeous stained glass kaleidoscope handcrafted by Sue Rioux in her Kennebunk, Maine studio. 

The body of the scope is made with a unique stained glass that offers hints of gold and purple while giving an overall blue appearance.  Adorned with cobalt blue glass rods on the top, 4 tiny feet and Sue's signature patina that she adds to all her soldering, this kaleidoscope is a beauty both inside and out.  

The interior mandala is created with a 2 mirror system in the form of a 5 point star.  Sue added a piece of cobalt blue dichroic glass as the third mirror creating a blue aura around the mandala.  An additional piece of dichroic glass placed at the end of the body outlines the mandala in blue adding another artistic dimension.  The turning oil filled object chamber contains varying sized glass balls in blues and whites and pieces of dichroic glass which add a rainbow of color and sparkle. 

Signed by the artist "Sue Rioux 2021" this kaleidoscope is 3" tall by 9 1/4" long by 5" wide (at the object cell).
