Small Pedestal Kaleidoscope with Dichroic Glass Wheel in Brass by Jon Greene
shown attached to its custom walnut swivel pedestal base

The Small Pedestal Dichroic Brass is a highly desirable, pedestal style brass kaleidoscope with two interchangeable and independently turning wheels created in a stained glass technique. One of the wheels is composed of highly reflective, textured dichroic glass, and the other wheel consists of smooth dichroic glass, which in combination, produces a visual extravaganza of intense color. The usual response from a first-time viewer is a gasp and an exclamation of delight.

The majority of the image you see as you look through its eyepiece is created by the primary wheel, or the one closest to your eye, and the secondary wheel provides background or accent image. When you unscrew the knob holding the wheels and trade out the wheels front-to-back, you are rewarded with an entirely different kaleidocopic view.* The teardrop eyepiece affords a pristine view of the 8-point mandala. It is available in a 3-mirror system, but a 2-mirror is available upon request.

The kaleidoscope itself is 9" long x 1.5" diameter, and the wheels are 3" in diameter. It is attached with a swivel to its custom walnut wooden pedestal base. The entire kaleidoscope is 10" tall x 4.25" wide x 9" deep. None of the brass components of this kaleidoscope will ever tarnish, due to a sophisticated metal finishing process.

*You can also purchase other add-on wheels to make this kaleidoscope even more interchangeable:

and store your extra wheels in this Sm Wheel Rack Walnut.
