Peter Berube

Rainbow Ridge | Hamilton, Montana

Peter was always fascinated by kaleidoscopes, and in 1987, he saw a market for a lower-priced starter style. The teleidoscope is a simple design, so it can be sold at a more affordable price. A teleidoscope has a mirror system like a kaleidoscope, but instead of an object at the end that you manipulate in some way, it has a clear marble that turns everything it is pointed toward into a kaleidoscopic view. With a teleidoscope, the world is your image! If you're looking for a relatively inexpensive handcrafted style, a teleidoscope is a great option because of its simplicity in design. These teleidoscopes definitely bring awareness into the more elaborate mirror systems of kaleidoscopes.

Peter says, "After 35+ years, we moved our home and shop in 2004 to Western Montana in the beautiful Bitterroot Valley. Ironically, we live off Rainbow Ridge. The name fits well with kaleidoscopes, don't you think? I do 100% of all the work in my shop, from glue up to finish work, as well as all the mirror systems." His teleidoscopes are affordable gifts for men, in particular. But everyone who sees Peter's teleidoscopes appreciates his craftsmanship and attention to detail.
