Michael creates contemporary hand-crafted kaleidoscopes and mixed media art works using wood working, fused glass, ceramics & clay, custom resin work, plastics and beadwork.

Michael pioneered colored oils layered inside the object chamber. His current designs suspend hand-crafted art pieces in oil which tumble slowly at random, and their patterns do not repeat. Each viewing of his scopes is a one-of-a-kind experience.

Meticulous detail goes into ensuring his optical-grade glass mirrors provide excellent geometry to ultimately create the beautiful symmetrical patterns that unfold before your eyes. 

Don't let the plastic exterior of his Color Spirit and Theme Spirit lines of kaleidoscopes fool you. The interior images pack a real punch and are all gorgeous. We refer to these as our "tweener" scopes, as they're fantastic gifts for the kids who've outgrown our toy scopes--or for kids of all ages, for that matter.
