As the daughter of Janice Chesnik, and sister of Jon Greene and Sheryl Koch, Lori Riley continues a long family tradition of creating kaleidoscopes. She spent many years working as a jeweler and for a jewelry supply company. Therefore, it’s only fitting that she creates a lovely line of kaleidoscope jewelry with tiny, turning wheels of fused glass. They’re fun to wear, and you can find them here: Lori Riley
Years ago, Lori made full-size kaleidoscopes, and she has added some of those to her current line. They feature long brass tubes with two interchangeable wheels of fused glass for an almost infinite number of colorful patterns. Appropriately, she named this style “Festive Party”. They sit on a painted wooden base.
Lori also teaches kaleidoscope making to collectors and hobbyists, as well as to children.
