Since 1980, Chesnick Scopes has been credited for perfecting the wheeled scope. This line consists of raw brass tubes with wheels of dichroic glass, Brazilian agate stone, or millifiore glass, the last of which are still made by the company founders, Janice and Ray Chesnik, Jon's mother and step-father.

Jon Greene and Chesnik Scopes were featured in the 2010 Holiday Issue of Cape Cod Life Magazine, so their popularity continues to grow. Each style sits on its own wooden stand or pedestal, and is available in brass-, or chrome-plated finishes that will never tarnish. Long a mainstay of every serious kaleidoscope collection, Chesnik Scopes make beautiful gifts for everyone you know—including yourself!

Janice's son, Jon Greene, has been part of Chesnik Scopes since 1990, and he took over the business in 2007 when his folks retired. He's also our Artist-in-Residence and regularly demonstrates how he creates these beautiful kaleidoscopes at his workbench by our Mashpee Commons store window.
