The Durettes' "Cosmo" series of kaleidoscopes have proven to be among the most popular ones we've ever carried. This wood inlay on the front of this particular one reminds us of a criss-cross pattern, hence the name we gave it!

Their interior images, or mandalas, are virtually unsurpassed. They are extraordinarily vibrant and exciting, because their oil-filled chambers consist of a variety of very colorful glass and anodized wire. Sallie and Luc also use precision optics to make these images come alive, providing a stunning view. All told, these are some of the best scopes for the money that we can recommend.

All "Cosmo" kaleidoscopes are available in:

• a variety of woods for the body of the kaleidoscope: Maple, Cherry, Padauk and Walnut
• two types of mirror systems: 2-mirror (7-point) and 3-mirror, which they refer to as "Starburst"
