Since 1980, Chesnik Scopes has been credited for perfecting the wheeled kaleidoscope. This line consists of raw brass tubes with wheels of dichroic glass, Brazilian agate stone, or intricate filigree patterns. Each style sits on its own wooden stand or pedestal, and is available in brass-, or chrome-plated finishes that will never tarnish.

Janice's son Jon Greene, pictured here, played an essential part of Chesnik Scopes starting in 1990.  He took over the business in 2007 when his folks retired.  Jon Greene and Chesnik Scopes were featured in the 2010 Holiday Issue of Cape Cod Life Magazine and The Enterprise's 2018 Holiday Gift Guide. Long a mainstay of every serious kaleidoscope collection, Chesnik Scopes make beautiful gifts for everyone you know—including yourself!

Now, after 30 years as part of Chesnik Scopes, its time for Jon to retire!  In March 2021 Jon transitioned the business to Sue Rioux, of Sue Rioux Designs.  Sue is excited to expand her line of stained glass kaleidoscopes to include the Chesnik brand of brass and chrome wheeled scopes.

Kaleidoscopes are often given as a metaphor to signify a new beginning, for instance. The Chesnik line appeals to both men and women, and engraved plaques can easily be added to the wooden bases and pedestals, or those can be engraved directly.
